Forget about the Saber class, the strongest servant for the Holy Grail War is the Maid! This Saber is based in the scene she uses a maid uniform in the visual novel Fate/hollow ataraxia, the sequel to Fate/stay night. I already wrote a bit about Saber in my post about the Figma Saber Lily, but if she’s not familiar to you, you could also check her story and background information in The Moonlit World (lots of spoilers).
This is my first 1/6 scale figure and it was only by looking at the box that I realized how big a figure can be at this scale… Out of the box, she’s ready to be displayed and it’s a no brainer.
It was not an easy task to take photos of this figure. Because of her size, I had to be careful to not take photos outside the boundaries of the background.
A closer shots of her uniform. Can you see how detailed are the frills?
While being true to the original design, Saber has got some nice curves in this figure, don’t you agree? As a real person she would be awfully thin, though. I don’t have complaints about the paint job, except for the lack of shading. Her mop is not fixed in the base. By the way, the base is really cheap looking… At least Alter could have made a better base to match the figure production quality!
It’s not hard to understand why this figure was popular enough for a rerun. I ordered her at Play-Asia and, as expected, she’s already sold out. Unfortunately, the amateurish skills of mine as photographer don’t do justice to this figure’s awesomeness. As usual, check AkibaHobby or FooBarBaz for better photos in their reviews.
Cya!
